Michael Crighton's response to the decision vs Sartor

Good eh!

We might speculate on the sympathies of the good Judge and his knowledge of, and dislike of, NSW Inc. (and the Hungarian gangster sub branch specifically) but his Honour, obviously considers climate scientists real not a cabel of nuts intent on destroying the bourse, profits and life as we know it.

Despite being bound by the law that NSW Inc. have written, he has reasonably declared the Sartor’s decision null and void and put the onus on those that would build on a known flood plain to deny climate change and therefore prove their coastal destruction plan safe.

A very big ask.

From the perspective of responsible government concerned with state not specific interests, admittedly a rare view, his judgement is requiring proof that the site that will not later claim massive expenses from the public purse to try and protect it, long after the speculative profiteers have long gone. (see James Hardie)

The judge’s reliance on the precautionary principle will hopefully withstand the scrutiny of his conservative peers, even if they declare the end of ‘business as usual’, revolution and chaos, not to mention losses on the bourse, if this were to be become a universal principle.

To me, if reason prevails, the grounds for the decision are sound, it is looking good and the appeal should be rejected.

The question for the Hungarian branch of the ALP is how much of the scheme do they have to amend? The unknown is not on their side even if the Minister is in their pocket.
