I am happy to see that Anglican Reitrement Villages has seen sense at last in giving up on its project to guild 250 independent living units on a floodplain at Sandon Point.
You are no doubt aware that the Anglican Retirement Village is pulling out of their proposal with Stockland to develop Sandon Point, citing the expense of environmental and road works, etc. They have obviously retained some business sense and don’t want to face a ten year battle.
I wish to publicly ask the Minister for the Environment Frank Sartor and Stockland if there is a rescue plan for native animals and plants on the AIR site at Sandon Point where Stockland has approval to start excavation?
Please advise me how to obtain "proper authority" to go enter Stockland's AIR site and rescue wildlife prior to commencement of bulldozer excavation for subdivision? and who would be allowed to do it? I am told by WIRES that "proper authority" must be obtained so I assume you would be the ones to ask?
